We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our growing team.  

About the role

As the Business Development Executive (BDE), you will have an impact on driving the growth of our corporate customer strategy. Therefore, you will be responsible for identifying and building rapport with suitable corporates to create new business opportunities for the group to sell our full range of Giant’s services to assist them in managing their contingent workforce more efficiently. The desired outcome of this will a targeted volume of qualified sales enquiries generated to enable us to close a pipeline of opportunities to achieve the revenue and profit targets for the business. This is a business development role where leads will be generated by Giant as well as through your own efforts. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Business Development Strategy: Working closely with the Group Sales Director & Marketing team, you will execute a corporate business development strategy that aligns with the company's client acquisition goals and revenues objectives. 
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target new corporate clients, leveraging market research and networking to generate leads and opportunities.  Regularly review Giant’s existing corporate clients to identify cross sell opportunities.  Ensure consistent and thorough follow-up of all marketing generated leads to create sales meeting opportunities.
  • Communication and rapport building: Through phone calls, emails as well as using messaging via LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and HubSpot.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Maintain accurate records of business development activities and provide regular reports to senior management using the sales CRM HubSpot.
  • Compliance: Ensure all business development activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

 Your ideal experience & competencies:

Ideally, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in selling business to business services with appropriate training.  You will be able to demonstrate an ability to win new business and consistently achieve sales targets and activity KPI’s.

  • You can only excel in this role where you have an ambition to progress into a senior sales role, have a high level of resilience, strong written and verbal communication, and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience in delivering against activity based KPI’s with a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
